Early Plans for Flying Saucer Fall Beer Festival

Last year at the Flying Saucer Fall Beer Festival, co-founder Captain Keith Schlabs promised to bring Stone Brewing to the 2011 Fall Beer Festival.  That guy must have a crystal ball.  Makes me wonder what kind of new releases will get announced at this year's Flying Saucer Fall Festival. Even though it it still months away, the guys at Flying Saucer are getting their beer bottles in a row to get ready. They sent me this advance notice:

UPDATE: Due to a date conflict, the Fall Beer Festival has been CANCELED for September 24th. They are working to find a new date to reschedule.

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium in Kansas City, Missouri will host a Fall Beer Festival on Saturday, Sept 24th from 2 to 9:30 p.m. at their location at 101 E. 13th St.

Over 20 different rare beers will be available, with special tappings from noon to 2:00 p.m. (these special tappings will be inside the Saucer before the festival starts).

Tickets are $25, which includes a taster card, commemorative tasting glass and 10 beer samplings. These can be purchased online in advance and up to one week prior to the festival. Tickets purchased after this deadline, as well as day-of tickets, will be $30. Please visit www.beerknurd.com/stores/kansascity for more information, as it becomes available.

A Brewers Tent will be unveiled this year, where brew-masters and representatives will give 30 minute seminars, followed by 30 minute Q&A’s. These sessions will take place throughout the day of the festival.

Last year they had a great selection of rare beers throughout the days, so I can't wait to see what surprises they'll have this year. I really like the addition of the Brewers Tent. I will share more information as it is available.
