Schlafly Raspberry Coffee Stout

There has been some buzz about the new Schlafly/Schnucks offering, a Raspberry Coffee Stout.  The buzz isn't from too much coffee either.  This stout will be exclusive at Culinaria, Schnucks' high scale grocery store located in downtown Saint Louis.  This is the second Culinaria exclusive beer Schlafly has made.  The first collaboration was last year's Holiday Ale, an Old Ale that was originally brewed to celebrate Schlafly brewer Drew Huerter's wedding.

This coffee stout is going to be a "darker roast" version of Schlafly's seasonal Coffee Stout.  The Oatmeal Stout is still the base, but the ABV is going to clock in at 7% where the regular Coffee Stout is 5.7%.  The coffee is still going to be provided by Kaldi's Coffee.  Instead of the Organic French Roast  they are going to use Colombia Monserrate. The raspberries for the puree comes in fresh from Oregan, just like the berries used for the Raspberry Hefeweizen. I expect the Raspberry Coffee Stout to hit the Culinaria shelves later this year
