St. Louis has an unparalleled history for beer in the United States. The St. Louis Craft Beer Week is a celebration of that history. Not a whole lot of details on events just yet. The Wine & Cheese Place is going to hosting some events. I'm going to look into doing a road trip.
The 2010 Craft Beer Week celebration is beginning on April 24th and culminating on April 30th, May 1st and 2nd with the St. Louis Microfest. Each night of this event will provide an opportunity to talk to brewers, pair food and beer, play some trivia or meet other beer enthusiasts. This is your chance to really see everything that the St. Louis beer scene has to offer.
The St. Louis Craft Beer Week is devoted to the beer brewers, drinkers and lovers in St. Louis.
City wide Beer Weeks have popped up across the country. California has at least three: Sacremento, San Fransico, and San Diego. Philly has one. All great beer towns, but now even Baltimore and Cleveland have a Beer Week. Maybe I'm a litle biased (hell, I'm a lot biased), but I would think KC could put together a Beer Week at least as good at Cleveland. I mean, it's Cleveland for crying out loud!
So tell me, what would it take to get a KC Beer Week? Who is in? What can I do to help?
